Emily Ratajkowski takes action, blocking Celeste Barber on Instagram. Discover the drama unfolding in the social media world.

Emily Ratajkowski found herself in a situation where the Australian comedian Celeste Barber mimicked a racy photo of her from two years ago. Despite a well-executed recreation of the skimpy bikini shot leaning against a wall, the comedian faced criticism for her caption, with some social media commenters labeling Celeste as a ‘misogynist.’

Emily Ratajkowski was pushed over the edge by Celeste Barber’s latest mockery, specifically her G-string photoshoot remake.

Celeste initially poked fun at the supermodel back in 2017.

The caption accompanying the G-string photoshoot declares, ‘We are sick of objectifying our bodies! Also, here’s my a*s.’

Consequently, Ratajkowski decided to block the comedian on Instagram. In a High Low podcast episode, she expressed her thoughts, “The whole drama with Celeste has been blown out of proportion.”

This development coincides with the 31-year-old’s prior discussions about how her image has been exploited for financial gain, as detailed in her book.

She said in the podcast, ‘In general, I find her to be really funny. But, the message I was trying to send to her was, “I just don’t want you to do this to me anymore”. I was like, “I’m not giving her my consent for this joke anymore.” It just landed at a specific time for me.’

Ratajkowski asserted that she holds no personal grudge against Celeste, emphasizing that mocking women who express themselves through their bodies is inherently rooted in misogyny.

Emily Ratajkowski continued, ‘We really love to pick on female influencers, like they are considered the trash, lamest, most cringe, most embarrassing people on the planet.’

‘I fundamentally find that to be sexist. Yeah, no s**t, women want to be influencers – it’s one of the ways that women have learned to be successful and make money. They’re hustling,’ she added.

Despite facing criticism for her parodies of Ratajkowski’s photos, Celeste reaffirmed her stance this year, asserting that she remains unapologetic for her actions.

The Wellmania celebrity shared with Marie Claire in January: ‘I like running my mouth off. I do it a lot. I’m quick-witted – it’s one of my favorite things about me.’

Celeste added: ‘I don’t like that I feel I can’t do that as much, and yeah, I do feel like I censor myself sometimes. But then other times I don’t give a f**k and I operate from a place of already being cancelled. I mean good luck to them. You can’t win. They hate what you do one day, then you’re the greatest thing in the world the next day.’
